Abstract
Dysertacja przedstawia teologię przyrody w ujęciu amarykańskiego teologa Johna Haughta. Teologia przyrody postuluje dialog między teologią i nauką, który pomaga zrozumieć w pełni relację między Bogiem, człowiekiem i wszechświatem. Dysertacja ukazuje historię dialogu między teologią i nauką oraz jego modele. Jasno przedstawia koncepcję stowrzenia i ewolucji oraz mocne argumenty przeciwko scjentyzmowi i naturalizmowi głoszonemu przez nowy ateizm. Ukazuje objawiony obraz Boskiej milości, pokory, obietnicy, nadziei i przyszłości w kontekście "niedkończonego Wszechświata", któy jest zarówno darem, jak i obietnicą od miłującego Stwórcy. Głębokie i właściwe rozumienie teologii przyrody pozwala zmniejszyć niebezpieczeństwo zarówno kosmicznego, jak i biblijnego literalizmu oraz uniknąć tzw. teologii Boga luk. Praca prezentuje nową duchowość stworzenia, która oznacza głębsze zrozumienie Boga, ludzkości i przyrody. Służy ona wypracowaniu chrześcijańskiej odpowiedzi na socjologiczny, ekologiczny i technologiczny kryzys występujący we współczesnym świecie.
This dissertation proposes a theology of nature through the theological prism of John Haught, an American theologian. A theology of nature postulates an interaction between theology and science that helps us to understand fully the triangular relation between God, humankind, and the universe. This dissertation presents a comprehensive history of the dialogue between theology and science and the models of dialogue between them. There is a clear presentation of the concepts of creation and evolution and strong arguments against scientism and naturalism being proposed by the New Atheism. Again, there is the clarification of the revelatory image of God’s love, humility, promise, hope and futurity in the context of the “Unfinished Universe,” which is both a gift and a promise from a loving Creator. This rich and balanced understanding of a theology of nature helps us to reduce the danger of both cosmic and biblical literalism and to avoid the “god-of-the-gaps” theology. Finally, a new spirituality of creation is proposed which means a deeper understanding of God, humankind, and nature. This serves as the Christian response to the sociological, ecological and technological crises we face in the contemporary world.
