Abstract
Artykuł niniejszy przedstawiać będzie stosunki panujące w diecezji lubelskiej między jej ordynariuszem a organistami z jej terenu. Biskup Stefan Wyszyński, bo o nim mowa, był ordynariuszem diecezji lubelskiej w latach 1946-1949. W czasie tych krótkich rządów dał się poznać jako propagator wysokiej pozycji organisty w parafii oraz jako osoba oddana temu środowisku. W chwili objęcia diecezji zastał już dobrze zorganizowane środowisko organistów – istniała tam Komisja do Spraw Organistowskich przy Kurii Biskupiej w Lublinie oraz Kolegium Organistów Diecezji Lubelskiej, zrzeszające wszystkich organistów z terenu diecezji. Dopiero zaczynali się organizować po okresie wojennym, a podejmowane przez ordynariusza działania były dla nich ogromną pomocą. Biskup Wyszyński ustalił tabelkę opłat przy podziale dochodów dla kapłanów i służby kościelnej, dbał o należyty stan mieszkań organistów oraz sal dla chórów, a także odpowiedni stan organów i instrumentów do ćwiczeń na próbach chóru. Sprawy te, będące podstawowe dla bytu organisty, stały często na niskim poziomie, przede wszystkim ze względu na zniszczenia wojenne. Biskup troszczył się także o należyte wykształcenie organistów. Jego szybkie odejście z diecezji nie osłabiło środowiska organistów, ale było impulsem do dalszej pracy. Biskup odchodząc z diecezji do Warszawy i Gniezna na stanowisko Prymasa Polski obiecał or,ganistom, że zadba o ich kolegów w całej Polsce.
The article will discuss the relations between the Ordinary and Organists in the Diocese of Lublin. Bishop Stefan Wyszyński was the Ordinary of the Diocese of Lublin in the years 1946–1949. During this brief period, he proved to be a great supporter of organists in the parish and a person devoted to the improvement of their life and work conditions. When he came to Lublin, the community of organists was well-organized and centred around the Commission for the Case of Organists at the Curia in Lublin and the Council of Organists of the Diocese of Lublin, which gathered all organists from the diocese. They were in the process of organizing their activity after the Second World War and the Ordinary’s support proved invaluable. Bishop Wyszyński established regular fees in the distribution of income to the priests and ecclesial service, he cared for proper conditions of flats and rooms for organists, choir singers, as well as instruments, which, due to war destruction, were very poor at that period. Organists’ education was an important issue for the Bishop. Fortunately, his departure from the diocese after only several years did not hinder the development of the community of organists in the Diocese, but served as an impulse for further work in this area. When the Bishop was leaving the Diocese of Lublin to become the Archbishop of Gniezno and Warsaw and the Primate of Poland, he promised the organists from Lublin that he would take good care of all organists in Poland.
